1.   download the modpack

2.  install NeoForge🌈 1.21.248

a.    run neoforge-21.1.248-installer.jar provided in the modpack.zip

b.    simply “Proceed” to install it in the default .minecraft directory

3.  open your AppData/Roaming directory

a.    use the Windows + R key combo to go to %APPDATA% (case-insensitive) (fun fact: here’s a list of all recognized environment variables like %APPDATA%)

b.    type in %APPDATA% (case-insensitive) into Windows©®™ Explorer directly

c.    use a shell of your choice (whatevr, you get the idea)

d.    use a different env variable to get there, like %USERPROFILE%/AppData/Roaming (fun fact: Windows©®™ supports both forward ‘/’ and backward ‘\’ slashes indiscriminately as directory separators in paths)

4.  create a new folder, name it whatever, something like “.minecraft creatards”

5.  copy the mods directory from the modpack.zip into that newly created folder (or just extract the .zip archive into it, also works)

6.  open your MicroSlop©®™ Minecraft©®™ launcher of choice

for the official MicroSlop©®™ Minecraft©®™ launcher:

7.  create a new installation

a.    IMPORTANT ! !!! : CHANGE THE ICON (WILL NOT WORK OTHERWISE!!!!!)

b.    change the version to NeoForge🌈 1.21.248

(fun fact: you can type in that box to filter the selection)

c.    change the game directory

                                          i.    either browse to it (3.b. works if it puts you in some weird directory)

                                        ii.    or put in: %APPDATA%/<the name of the folder you created>

d.    change the Java Virtual Machine arguments to increase the process RAM allowance
replace the ? with an integer number of Gigabytes you want Minecraft©®™ to be able to use
12GB allocation for example:

there are many more JVM arguments to select from, of interest in regards to memory allocation are -Xmx (max heap size), -Xms (min heap size), and -Xmn (initial & min heap size)
also -Xmx 120000000000 = -Xmx 12000000k = -Xmx 12000M = -Xmx 12g (default bytes, kilo, mega, giga suffixes, all case-insensitive)

e.    create the installation

8.  start the gayme

9.  click on “Multiplayer”
